RELAXING @ MINDIL MARKETS THURS NIGHT

We at the van for the day. At sunset we arrived at the Mindil Markets. What a site!!!!! The markets were very crowded and so many food stalls. You could pick from from Chinese, Malay, Indonesian, Thai, Italian, Japanese, or if you taste is not so distinguished a baked potatoe with hot and cold fillings. We had thought with the Darwin Show on that the markets might not so crowded. This didn't happen. HOWEVER that wasn't the astounding part. Apparently people also come to this beautiful place to take photos of the sunset. Every centimetre of the beach from one end to other, and the grass area behind was covered in table and chairs with people holding cameras and taking shot after shot of the sun setting. It was a great site to see.
We had a look at the array of clothes, jewellery, light, and lots of other things. I think the best wss a card trick card pack, a colouring book and crayons that went from plain pages to drawings and then coloured in just by flicking the pages, and last but not least a wallet that caught on fire when you opened it. However it also had money in it that so you could use it as a wallet. GREAT WHEN YOU AT McDONALDS AND WANT A LAUGH. Also a man who sells a metal spiral with a clear ball inside, that looks like it is hanging in space. The markets and the sunset was great.
