Arrived at Northern Territory Wildlife Park at 9.00 am and got the 9.30 shuttle to the Billabong. They fed crocodiles, pelicans, barramundi and turtles. We then rode the shuttle to the sand bar where they talked about the Fresh Water Sting Ray and Archer Fish. The Sting Ray feed from the bottom of the pond by covering their prey and eating it. The Archer Fish spurt water at their prey, stunning them into submission and then eat it. We held a worm out, and they spurted the water at it before eating it. Very interesting to watch. Next we rode the shuttle to the Birds Of Prey to see them flying down to grasp their prey and fly away to eat it. There was also a bird sanctuary with about 6 different sections, and an enclosed aviary. Very good to see. An aquarium with a glass tunnel that displays fish of all types including sting rays. A really great day. We left there and went to Berry Springs which is next door to the N.T Wildlife Park, for a swim. Three pools and a waterfall. Absolutely great place for a swim, and a cool down after a hot day.
