We got up and visited the Mataranka Thermal Pools. Very nicely set out. The thermal pool is a little cooler than Bitter Springs, which was good for me. A lovely walk around the pools, through the palms. We saw two wallabies, and lots of people enjoying the thermal pools. We had a dip for about an hour and then headed of to have some lunch at the entrance to the Mataranka Falls. We decided not to walk to the falls , but Les went for a walk along the banks of the Roper River, while I read a book. We returned home and had a sleep. There is another caravan park here at Mataranka, but not sure how much it is. We are paying $25 per night at Bitter Springs. Also another one at Bitter Springs where they have the Barramundi feeding. called Manor House. First caravan park on the road in. It is also $25.00 per night. Highly recommend this one, but would have to drive 5 minutes to get to the Springs.
