COOINDA KAKADO

It is Jaimee's birthday today. I phoned her, but the phone kept cutting out as she was on a train from Sydney when I rang. Our holiday is great, but it's moments like this when you wish you were there to give her a hug and a kiss and wish her Happy Birthday in person. I suppose the fact that she travelled when she was so young, and while I believe that's was a wonderful thing to do, it also makes me want to hold onto her at times like today.
We arrived at Pine Creek for Petrol and then went on Mary River Station for info on where to stay etc. We tried ringing Cooinda, but no answer. We had lunch and arrived at Cooinda at 2.00pm. Booked in for the 4.30pm cruise tomorrow. Only had unpowered, no water sites for $30. Very expensive. At 8.30pm I went to toilet which had no loo paper, then Les went for a shower at 9.00pm and had a cold shower. We went up to the Bistro area at night and they had a great slide show on Crocodiles. The ranger gave a very interesting talk. Guess what??? We won't Be swimming with them. CROCCIES BITE HARD!!!!!!
