TRANSPORT MUSUEM AND COFFEE

Les went to the transport museum. Apparently they have an array of old trucks and cars. An array of number plates that covers the wall of a shed. The first road train to be used in the Northern Territory and a Kenworth dealers display.
I went up town with Helen to have coffee with Amalia. We also went to a few shops to get stuff for our baskets. Came home and had lunch, and went back again as they had fabric to cover my lounge. Also brought some fabric to make wall hangings. Had a lovely day. Found out about the Finke Desert Races. They start on Friday where all the 4WD and motor bikes are scrutinised. Then on Sat they are allocated their starting place for 4WD, and then bikes are allocated. They start the race on Sunday. I was told people take BBQ for breakfast while they watch the race. This finishes around 12pm. Then on Sunday the 4WD and then bikes return to Alice from Finke around 9.30. I am really looking forward to this. It sounds great!!!!!!
